The founder and first abbot of Menri Monastery, Nyamed Sherab Gyaltsen, is one of the most prominent figures in Bon history. He unified all three lineages of Sutra, Tantra and Dzogchen in Yungdrung Bon. His spiritual teachings and philosophical commentaries provide the foundation for Bon monasteries worldwide. All Bon masters recognize and express devotion to Nyamed Sherab Gyaltsen as lineage master. All Bon practitioners continue to recognize the Abbot of Menri Monastery as their spiritual leader.
His Holiness the 24nd Abbot of Menri, Gyalwa Menri Kunchen Nyima Tenzin, carefully wrote ritual and offering prayers for all Bonpos to connect to Nyamed Sherab Gyaltsen as guru. For His Holiness the 33rd Gyalwa Menri Trizin, this text was of utmost importance. He recommended that these rituals be performed monthly and on special occasions in all Bon temples around the world.
With great effort and dedication, Chongtul Rinpoche recently created a beautiful English version of these rituals for all who want to pray and connect to His Holiness of Menri. This book is now available to help all practitioners strengthen their knowledge and connection to Bon, deepen their inner awareness, and pray for their own guru. Rinpoche would like to share this work with everyone as a source of world peace and recommended to have this book at your altar.
